At LaSalle Early Childhood Center, Inc. we believe that three and four year olds have very different abilities and needs. We have separate classes for our three and four year olds and meet them where they are developmentally. We open doors for their intellect and creativity to blossom.
Mrs. Jean DeMarco and Mrs. Dianne Elmedawar are the Three Year Olds classroom teachers. The curriculum is a mix of structure and free choice activities based on a theme chosen with the children in mind. There is a focus on language development, social skills and the arts. The maximum class size is 18 children with three adults to provide excellent staff to child ratio for a safe and nurturing environment.
We have a community based partnership with the Niagara Falls City School district to provide a Universal Pre K classroom for residents of Niagara Falls. This class follows the district's curriculum for preschool and prepares the children for Kindergarten in a literature based program with strong pre-math skills. This class is selected from applications to the district and is subject to lottery. The teacher is Mrs. Jennifer Stewart.
Mrs. Nicole Dutton is the teacher for the tuition based room. This will allow residents of surrounding communities and parents who want less than 5 full days to have the same great classroom experience here at LECC. She utilizes the same curriculums and adds special events to the learning in her classroom.
Mrs. Marybeth Simoneit has been in the early childhood field for over 20 years. She is a graduate of SUNY College at Fredonia with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She was a first grade teacher for many years and in 2003 became a preschool teacher at St. John de LaSalle Catholic School. When the school closed the need for quality preschool was still very high in Niagara Falls so the early childhood center was created. Marybeth is committed to the families of this area to provide high quality preschool where Christian values are taught in an atmosphere of understanding and love.
LECC is the first Niagara County childcare center accepted to the Quality Stars program!
This statewide program supports high quality programming and superb learning environments.
We will complete self studies using the ECERS, the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scales, and submit documentation of our trainings and education. We will then utilize this self study to formulate a plan for further improvements.
In addition to Quality Stars, our staff hosts Niagara QIP trainings in conjunction with Niagara University, we attend online trainings and webinars and the NYSAEYC conference annually.
Warm nurturing environment, loving teachers who tell every child "I love you" at the end of the day Such a wonderful experience for my daughter, we are so sad to only have spent on year and this fabulous school. Truly teaches the "whole child", so many hands on learning experiences, the arts, physical education and a wonderful before and after school program! Tuition is very reasonable too. We love LECC! LECC is an amazing place to start your child's education. The teachers and staff go above and beyond to assure your child's needs are met. I am astounded by the progress my daughter has made in her social interactions, speech and early education knowledge. She can't wait to tell me what she learned daily! The teachers really treat your child like their own. I highly recommend LaSalle Early Childhood Center to anyone with kiddos who are ready to learn and play!
Very nice and professional Teachers. Top notch Pre-school education. Bryan S
LECC has been a wonderful first experience for my son who was only ever cared for in my home by close family and friends. The teachers go above and beyond and truly love the children in their class as their own. I feel very blessed to have had my son go through the 3 and 4 year old program and I feel very blessed to work at such a great school. Thank you to everyone for making my son's first school experience so positive. LECC received a lot of praise during my son's screening at West Street. Keep up the great work! Jennifer S.
LECC is the best place you could start your child's education. The teachers and staff are wonderful and truly care about each child in their class. They work hard to meet every child's learning needs. Not only do they teach educational skills but also social and emotional skills which are pertinent for a young child's development. I have two children that have went to this school for 3 and 4 year old preschool and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality school. Jennifer M.
As expected, I was anxious sending my daughter to 3 year old PreK, seeing she has only been cared for by family members up until this point. The enrollment process at LEEC is seamless. I was able to visit the school prior to enrollment, meet the director and teachers, and received a packet of information which thoroughly described the program further. LEEC provides an open house where you can meet the families of your child’s classmates. There I was given a handbook that out...lined the procedures and routines of the school; we played ice breaker games, and I could tell my daughter was in good hands. LEEC is highly organized, secure, and FUN! My daughter flourished there! She LOVED her teacher Mrs. Elmedewar and was excited to go to school every single day. The day is structured as to allow the perfect balance of learning and fun activities. I cannot say enough positive things about this program, you won’t be disappointed! Mary OCM
